Miles Mediation & Arbitration Signs RCI Pledge

The RCI™ is pleased to announce that Miles Mediation & Arbitration has signed the RCI™ Pledge for ADR Providers. The pledge calls for an industry-wide effort to increase the number of diverse professionals who serve as arbitrators, mediators, and in other ADR roles.

While the alternative dispute resolution (ADR) industry as a whole has made strides in terms of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), there is still much more we can do,” says Parag Shah, CEO of Miles Mediation & Arbitration. “In my role, I can make institutional and systemic changes, and I take that responsibility very seriously

Signing the RCI Pledge for ADR Providers reflects our ongoing commitment to having a diverse panel of mediators and arbitrators,” says Shah. “I’m proud of the fact that we have a diverse panel — and a diverse staff — in terms of gender, race, and age, but there is always room for improvement. By taking this pledge, we agree to maintain a panel that includes at least 30% diverse neutrals in terms of race, gender, age, LGBTQ+, and disability. This pledge will help us focus our efforts and continue to build a panel and business that reflects the clients we serve — and society at large.”
